Lately a lot of things have been running through my head and I'm surprised that at this point I haven't exploded. Stress and anxiety are two fiery twins no one wants to encounter. It's like drowning when you're surrounded by air. It's funny how you can be gasping for breath when on the outside everything looks so calm. The outside is serene, but the inside is a complete and total mess. And sometimes you find a life raft and paddle to the outskirts of the storm only to realize it's just one rain cloud. But that doesn't mean that one rain cloud can't flood a city.
There are good days, and there are bad days, And there are days of complete and total chaos. But sometimes you can't live for today because today might suck. And sometimes you can't live for the next day because it might seem that you're in a total rut. But you can live for the good days. Good days aren't planned. They can't be timed or counted. They can only be documented in a memory, or an image or a dream. But they are real. They do exists even at times when it feels like they're a myth. At the beginning it might seem like there isn't a end. But trust me at the end, the beginning will seem so far away. keep your heads up, -Heaven

If you don't already know, I am a big fan of lists. I'm a list maker. My notes app on my phone is filled to the brim with random things I want to remind myself about. I have a list of summer goals, and list of Instagram captions (guilty), and list of baby names (Catalina and Aiden are at the top of my list :p), and a list of reminders, and a list of songs I want to listen to, etc, etc. These lists not only keep my on track and organized but they keep me motivated and keep my eye on the prize. I wanted to make a list of the things that making me happy. From little to big. Some things that are hard to miss and some things you have to really have your eyes open to see. Creating this list really made me happy and thankful for how wonderful life can be. I truly believe that it is the little things in life that can make a big difference. Just counting your blessings can really improve your mood just like that. And obviously some of these things are personal to me and not all of them will bring happiness to everyone, but I do believe that some of the things will bring a smile to your face. Everyone knows what happiness feels like and everyone describes it differently and in their own way and that is A-oh-kay. To me happiness is a smile you can't get rid of. Its this feeling in your chest that won't stop growing. Happiness is contagious. And like sadness, it demands to be felt. No ifs, ands, or buts about it. And without further ado here is my list. Happiness is:
I wish I could write a longer list but my brain is bugged out from this long day, but I hoped you enjoyed this post. xoxo Heavkinz And just for kicks and giggles here is a pic of baby Heav when she was really hardcore smiling. I looooooove taking pictures. Of everything. Big things, funny things, pretty things, silly things, etc. A photo has a way of capturing a moment in time that you're never gonna get back. And I don't mean that in a harsh way. You may not be able to go back to that certain time but its the memory that makes it real to you. Memories are the ABSOLUTE BEST. Especially the good ones. :) I find it so cool that everyone in the whole world has a different library of memories and ones that they hold dear to them. Even if two people are participating in the same event, they're both going to remember it differently. The best way for me to remember my memories is by looking back on old pictures I have taken. I publish all of my "creative work" on a website/app called VSCO. It is one of the best photo editing apps I've used for quick fixes and it also has amazing filters. Almost all of my friends are obsessed with it. Unlike Instagram, VSCO does not depend on likes are hashtags. Its not about popularity, its about the art. Now don't get me wrong I love uploading pictures so Instagram, but the pictures I post on that app are more for chronological purposes. I post to keep all my friends updated on things going on in my life. But there are always many different layers to a person. I'd like to think of instagram as kind of like my mask. Its the thing that I want people to see. I feel that VSCO showcases the real me. The things that I see through my own eyes, uncut and unedited (not literally tho). I don't post on VSCO because I want to get 200 plus likes. I post for me. Its one of the best ways I can comfortably express myself. And the best part is that I don't have to use a fancy DSLR camera. All of the photos on there were taken on my phone (iPhone 6). Not only do I like viewing my own profile but I like to view others. The app opens you up to many other profiles from around the world and its enthralling to be connected with others in that way. Anyway I put together a slideshow of some of my favorite pictures from my account that I think truly enrapture some of the beautiful things that I've on during my 16 years on this earth. xoxo Heavkinz P.S Feel free to check out my account by clicking on the link below :) VSCO |
