Now let me just explain to you that when I say the word "beach" I really just mean river. Sadly the nearest beach is an hour away so we make do with what we have. After changing into our suits we headed over to chickfila, one of the most popular fast food restaurants around town.
When we tried to order ice-cream the man at the counter told us that the machine was sadly broken but our two teenage minds were bent on consuming ice-cream. We decided to head over to the other side of town to a local ice-cream shop but when we got there, it was sadly closed. So round 3 we headed over to another ice-cream shop that luckily was open.
So long story short it took us about 30 minutes to get ice-cream until we headed to the beach. I can confidently say that there is no better feeling than laying on a beach towel and enjoying the sound of the waves. I hope that everyone this week can enjoy the outdoors, and if you don't have a beach near you, pick up some ice-cream, even if it takes forever to get it :)
